Travelling for work can be tricky when it comes to insurance. Your standard Travel Insurance may be invalidated by a work trip, while your regular Business Insurance may not cover you for work abroad. Insync is here to help set you up with the right level of cover for your business activities.
We have access to the UK's leading travel insurers, and one of our expert advisors will compare quotes and cover to find you the right protection at the right price.
As an employer, you have a duty of care to your employees while they work for you and travel on business. We can arrange the right protection to give you peace of mind when you send your employees on a business trip protecting both them, their personal belongings and the business equipment they travel with.
Business travel insurance provides group business travel protection for business owners, directors (and their families if required) as well as cover for employees. The policy provides medical expenses and emergency travel expenses as well as cancellation cover and a host of additional benefits.
As standard, policies cover business travel only, with rating based on your travel pattern and destinations (UK, EU, Rest of Europe, North America and Worldwide trips). We can also extend cover to include directors' leisure trips if required.

An employee is travelling in the USA and suffers an extreme reaction to a mosquito bite and requires emergency medical treatment. The medical costs exceed £1,000, which are covered by your company's Business Travel insurance policy.
During another business trip, a sales director suffers sudden heart failure during a trip to Dubai. He is hospitalised for several days and needs to return to the UK. Insurers make payment in terms of medical expenses, increased travel costs and expenses. Claim cost c£7k.
Our business travel policies are designed to be as flexible as possible with the ability to extend to high-risk counties such as war zones and areas of civil unrest. Insurers will also assist in providing travel guidance in these areas and 24-hour travel advice helpline.
While we can cover high-risk zone locations, you should also consider the potential employers' liability exposure. You could face compensation claims from an employee for breaching your duty of care should they suffer an injury (or worse), after being sent to a high-risk location at your request.
At Insync we understand that some Directors and/or employees may suffer from pre-existing medical conditions. Our flexible relationship with our insurer partners allows us to quickly and easily make insurers aware of the situation and adapt cover accordingly.
Most of our business travel insurance policies will extend to cover medical expenses should you, or any employee covered on your policy, need medical assistance due to Covid-19 whilst on a business trip. However, insurers no longer extend cover for trip cancellation and/or expenses due to Government restrictions or flight cancellation which relate to a pandemic type exposure.
Can you arrange Travel Insurance cover to high-risk Countries which we need to travel to for business purposes?
Using Insync’s panel of specialist travel insurers we can arrange cover for you or your employees to travel to 99% of global countries, including those deemed “High Risk” by the Home Office.
